ENTRY 1:
Hey guys, Just got into Birmingham after three fantastic days in London. The first show at Wembley was great.
Sold out crowd with lots on energy. I got my digital camera in and got a few OK photos.
I was quite away back from the stage, so the did not turn out that great.
The second show was much much better. I weaseled my way down to the center section of main floor row 7.
Right smack dab in the middle. This time I had my 35 mm camera with me. I should have brought more film!!!!!
I only had 3 rolls with me. I didn't think I would get such a great seat. I got the film developed,
and have about 20 quality photos of the show.
I almost forgot to tell you that I caught a shirt from Geddy's dryer.
It was like it was in slow motion when he threw in into the crowd. It was the last shirt he threw.
I skyed above the rest of the crowd, and no one else even got a finger on it!!!!!
I have 3 hours until the Birmingham show. I am having a few beers at the hotel bar, and am heading
the the EUCON deal at the arena. I will try to give you another update in a few days.
Late, Steve "The Seeker" Bullert
ENTRY 2:
Well I am in my hotel in Glasgow. The Birmingham and Manchester shows were unbelievable. I sat next to 3 guys from Ireland at the Birmingham show. One of them had been a fan for 28 years, and this was his first show. He had a serious case of perma-grin after the show.
I met up with them at the Manchester show, and after the show we went to the Hard Rock Cafe. They were playing all RUSH after the show. The whole place was full of fans, and we were singing along to the songs. I was unreal.
After the Manchester show, I went to talk to Howard. I told him it was my 30th RUSH show, and askd him for a set list. He gave me one, and signed it for me. It says "For your 30th show, Howard U."
I got some good digital photos of the last two shows. I will get them to you ASAP when I get back home.
I have really good seats for the next two shows. In Glasgow, I have 2 tickets. One is main floor center section, row S, and the other in main floor on Geddy's side row G. It is kind of off to the side, but I think it will be OK. For Birmingham, I an main floor center section row M. I am going to bring both my 35 mm and digital cameras.
Well got to go. My time is almost up on the computer,
I will update you when I can.
ENTRY 3:
Me again - Just got back to the hostel. Glasgow was quite the show. Met a lot of RUSH virgins.
All of them want to see the photos I have taken. I am pretty drunk, and need to go to bed.
I will update you when I can.
ENTRY 4:
Hey Jordan,
Well my UK RUSH tour is over, and boy am I exhausted!! I took 7 rolls of photos at the 2nd Birmingham show, but had some bad luck and had a very tall guy in front of me (I am 6'3" so he was tall). His head was perfectly centered between Alex and Geddy, so I had to take most of the photos on either side of him. I did not have time to get them developed before I had to catch my plane today, so I will get them done on Friday.
Boy, I now know how hard it is to organize all the photos I have taken over the last 9 days. I can only imagine the amount of time you have spent on you website.
I should be able to get some burned on a CD tomorrow, and then send them to you via UPS. Most of the digital photos did not come out that great because of the slow shutter speed. I did get some good digital shots of the full stage and lightshow though.
Would you rather I send them to you unedited, (because I do not have a good program to do it my self), or I can see what I can do myself?????
I just took a look at your website, and was pleasantly surprised at the "Steve Bullert" UK updates. Way cool!!!!
Please let me know what you think on the editing.
Thanks, Steve.
