BACK TO SNA HOME

The flight from San Diego to Phoenix to meet Steve and catch the next flight to Denver was a NIGHTMARE. How can such disaster occur over a one hour hop? Screaming children, a terrible cattle call seating rush...this flight had all that is a disaster when traveling by air. When I got to Phoenix, even Steve said I looked frazzled. But that changed quite quickly, as seen in this photo. There were merely 38 people on the flight from Phoenix to Denver on a plane that seats 169. There wasn't anyone past the 15th of 25 rows in the back. Steve and I pondered what those options could have possibly meant had we had, er, more company. When was the last time you experienced air travel like that? I have not been on a commercial flight under such uncrowded conditions in at least the last decade. Pure hell followed by pure heaven. It wasn't "Please take your seat," it was "Please take your own row, put your feet up and enjoy the one hour and twenty minute ride in complete solitude." When the plane lifted off from Sky Harbor, the magnitude of the trip set in and I was intensely happy realizing that yes, I was going to see the show at Red Rocks.
