BACK TO SNA HOME
I was really quite paranoid holding the camera up for THAT song because it's a long
song - six minutes easy. Things seemed to be going well and as the song neared
completion, I breathed a sigh of relief and was dying to put the camera down. But
with about 20 seconds of song left, I got completely jumped by an amphitheater
security guy who just blazed up to me and put his hand all over the camera
and said "ONE MORE TIME AND YOU ARE OUTTA HERE!" It was stern enough to
get my full attention - the camera got put away for the rest of the first half. He was
busting everyone. SB got busted HARD and he was shooting with TWO cameras. Ha.
If you watch closely on the BTW video back on the Red Rocks index page - you can
see it happen and how fast it happened. There was a bit of a struggle for the camera.
At the very end of the video, you can see the guy come from the left hand side of the video and then boom -
it's over, I yanked the camera way from him and put it down and hit the power switch
to off. I was more nervous wondering what was going to become of the video than for
getting busted. Because I straight up turned the camera OFF and there was no time for
the camera to save the video. However, back at the hotel later on, turns out that the
video was saved automatically when the power went off. So that's pretty lucky.
