i wanted to let you know that this rush page is great....the best ive seen.i do have a pretty cool rush story but first i want to let you know i live in rochester n.y. and i was there with you when rush played with fastway i was 13 its great to have older brothers.any way i was lucky enough to be 17 rows from the stage at the DARIEN LAKE SHOW ON THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR.the story is funny my buddy had tickets and he is a bigger guy and he wanted to get his camera in but people in front of us the security was finding there cameras and making the throw them out before they went in.anyway when it came our turn to be checked i thought for sure they would find the camera but he put it in his pants and bam we made it through..the pictures are not the best but they did come out good.i thought man it would be cool to have the only pictures from this show.it was a great great show i have seen rush on the grace under pressure tour. power windows tour.and then it seemed i could never make it to there show but with the 30th anniversary show i could not miss...they will always be my favorite band and there music is not matched ever...thanks for the website and your time.and as always RUSH RULES....THANKS WALTER.JZIMMER
Any idea on how I might be able to actually meet Geddy?
Its been a dream for 20 years. Lyle
…great site, pics, and extras. I enjoy it because of its content and constant updates…keep up the good work. I missed the R30 tour in San Antonio but hope to catch the trio next time.
Watching RIR on my laptop right now. Just thought I would drop a fellow Rush fan a line?
Absalom, absalom, absalom - JLM, Odessa Texas
Hey J. I'm with you...BTW did it for me. I was in SF. My tenth show since 1976.
I missed the p/g tour but now I am whole! You know how that rabbit feels...PauL S.
Hey Jman! I met you in Vegas before the show. You let me take a picture with you and your patch buddies.
I got to say thanks a bunch! The big guygave me a couple pins as well as one to my friend. You gave
me a card of your site, echoes of old applause. I just checked it out and loved it. Cant wait to
see what youve got from Vegas. I tried sending you photos but the email returned to me. I have
some real good ones. I took over 100 pics of the show. Id be happy to send you some.
Let me know. Also do you know anyone who recorded the shows audio? I met a guy from Hawaii,
who was, but I lost contact with him and didnt get contact his info. Also I left a review
of the show on RUSH.com. There are some good ones! They played Between the Wheels!!! A fellow Rush nut - Jason

Hey what’s up man? I’m the dude with the Rush Tattoo’s that was sitting right by you for both nights at Radio city. You have a picture posted with me right next to you, that’s pretty cool man. I attached a picture of my 2112 tribute, and I’ll send you a pic of the portraits when their done. If you want to post the picture of my 2112 tribute, that would be great. I’m getting ready to go to bed, but I wanted to say hello, and tell you your site and your photos are awesome. I’ll write again sometime, maybe we can chat about the band sometime.
Talk to you later, Ron
I just saw the other pic of me on your site, and I want to thank you so much. I love the band so much, and it’s an honor to be on such an awesome site.
Thanks again, Ron
Hi, Just want to say I've really enjoyed your website and the photos you've taken at the numerous shows! What type of camera do you use and being so close don't you get hassles by security? I've noticed it's a bit tough on cameras this tour as opposed to last tour and I shot the Red Rocks show and even with a photo pass, they still made me take my gear out to my car after the first 3 songs and I missed Subdivisions doing so, but for 15 minutes of heaven!
To see my photos, check out www.t-n-m-s.com Galleries 2004 Red Rocks Exclusives thanks and enjoy!John V.
Hi Jordan, Yes, your site is awesome! I'd love to have some of my shots on there.
Thank you for asking first. Credit would be most appreciated!!! It was nice meeting you. Take care, Jim
I am one of the Brazilians in the Radio City show (on the fans pages, yellow jersey) and just wanted to tell you that your site is great.
Congratulations, man! All best, Tomas
Jordan: I've been enjoying your site for the past couple years. Thanks, Sam E.
HEY SAW YOUR WEBSITE. VERY COOL.
I GUESS IM ONE OF THOSE LUCKY BASTARDS TOO...20 YEAR DREAM CAME TRUE ON AUG 3 @ NISSAN PAVILLION, VA.......YES THEY REALLY DID HAVE A BAG FULL OF CAMERAS FOR THE LUCKY FEW OF US.....CLASS ACT. ALSO GOT A CHANCE TO LISTEN TO NEIL WARM UP BACK STAGE ON HIS ROTO-TOM KIT. GAVE ME CHILLS BEING THAT CLOSE.....
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW..........GREAT SITE, KEEP IT UP---------------JOHN
I got a copy of the email you sent to ***, and wanted to say thanks much from Neil and me, for all of your hard work on
your fantastic RUSH website, www.echoesofoldapplause.com.
When I saw the URL in your email, I had to visit and did. Great home page photo of Alex at Hollywood Bowl concert;
congrats, "jman"! I also noted: "This Site Enjoys Over One Millions Hits Per Year." Very impressive. Congratulations.
Again, from both of us, thanks for all that you have done and do to support Neil and RUSH, for all the very appreciative
things you said about *. - (Will remain anon).
HOLY COW. I've only had a second here at work to look, but the J-Man has
delivered once again!!!
Will check it out in much greater detail when I get home tonight.
Can't wait to read about the Adventures of Reynaldo, as well as the lucky
pair with the lucky pair (who I imagine will remain anonymous :-D )
Very nice work, Jordan. KOZ
Great website!!!
How come you never took my picture???
We are flying into Vegas Friday night @10pm.
Call the MGM and ask for *** room anytime after that!
Can't Wait! - Merrie
You're coming in from California without tickets? You should check out e-bay.
If you're not concerned with sitting in the front orchestra, there are plenty
of reasonably priced seats up for auction for both shows. Are you going with a group of people?
I saw the show last night at PNC Bank Arts Center. We were in the second orchestra on Geddy's side.
It was one of, if not, the BEST Rush show I've ever seen. Hearing Between The Wheels was AWESOME!
Seeing Alex break out the double-neck for Xanadu was INCREDIBLE!!! They were so tight (as usual)
but they seemed to be having more fun than I've ever seen and I have seen them about 35 times!
The cartoon "That Darned Dragon" and Jerry Stiller were both hilarious. I can't wait for the RCMH shows.
Three more days!!! - CB
Well Jordan, sounds like Vegas was a hoot!! I was laughing so hard at the Crazy Hair Lady story, my co-worker was staring at me. God that was funny, just glad it turned out ok, could of been a disaster. I am glad that you took a break and just enjoyed the show, you deserved it!! Take care
Sincerely, Travis
Hello,
My name is Robert Tango. I live on Long Island in NY. I have been a Rush fan for quite a while.
I recently saw them on Aug 11th at Jones Beach Theater in NY and last night (8/18/04) at
Radio City Music Hall in NYC. After about 20 shows I have been to , I FINALLY got FRONT ROW SEATS!!
It seems amazing to me that the band's website is not comprehensive at ALL!!!! So I was checking out
a few places and "Presto" there you were... No pun intended, allright, I was trying to be clever...
Anyway, I stopped by to say hello and I love your site!
If there is anything I can contribute, please ask...RT
(gave this fan a free ticket to the second night at RCMH):
Ah well then I guess it woulda been better if I had just stayed where I was.. sorry you didn't meet
up with me again.. and, then I would have been able to more "legally" be in the same section as you..
well not really, but I would have felt more secure about it anyway, lol. But I am still thankful for the
kind person (jman2112) who helped me get up front, I was RIGHT in front of Geddy, it was awesome.
I couldn't really come to say hi to you because first I wasn't exactly sure where you were,
and I was all weirded out anyway in the new section not sure where exactly I was going to..
and I think when I did see you the show had already restarted anyway. How come you usually go by yourself?
You seem like the biggest Rush fan ever; how many shows do you usually go to per tour?
Do people think you're nuts when you say that you came all the way to New York from San Diego just for a concert?
I've had that told to me many times because I travel far for concerts as well.
I'm glad you were able to help me get in too, thank you so much. I knew something
good would happen because I almost always have good luck when it comes to concerts and good seats.
Yeah a photo woulda been cool. Oh well I'm sure we'll all meet up again someday!
A friend I made at the Wednesday show got some pictures if you want me to show you them,
if that's ok with him. - Chris
I just wanted to let you know that your RCMH pictures are awesome!! I
was at the second show, and I can't wait to see those too.
Hopefully, some good recordings of these shows will come out soon.
Your pics would make for some great cover art and booklets for the
shows. best, - Doug
Hi Jordan, You probably wouldn't remember, but I met you briefly before the August 18th Radio City show.
Anyway, love the pics as always and I enjoyed your stories. My question is, what was the place you went
with your Aunt Joyce for canoli in the East Village? ****** That's one of my favorites in the city,
just wanted to see if that was it...! - Jason
Love the Radio City story and shots. Man, you are really dedicated. A real tribute to the Rush community!
I hope to get a few shots of the pre-Wembley festivities and madness. Will email em over to ya when it is all finished.
Take care, - Chris p.s. my brother and cousin went to the Toronto show last night. Apparently they were on fire.
Jman, I'm the guy with the IN2RUSH
license plate at the Hollywood Bowl show....I'm pretty sure you took a picture of me
and the 3 other people I was with standing in the center isle. If you still have
it please send it to me..And thankyou for putting the picture of me and the Florida
chick on your website...Thnx again...Rob.
Hey I really like the pics you have put up Bravo. There are fans then there are Rush nuts like you!!!
I am a transplanted Canuck in the UK looking forward to seeing them in London in 2 1/2 weeks.
Keep up the good work! - Chris
Just wanted to take the time to say thanks for posting all the great pics of the R30 tour. They are much appreciated.
My wife and I will be in Montreal Aug.20. Thanks again, - Ed L.
Thank you for creating an AMAZING Rush web site. I saved it in my favorites and will check it out daily for new pictures and information. So you definitely think they'll release another studio album and tour yet again? I SURE HOPE SO. They only seem to get better with age!!! Plus they're only in their early 50s. They can do this another 5-10 more years...The Stones are still going and they can't hold a candle to Geddy, Alex and Neil!!!
I can't wait for the RCMH shows. I saw them there in 1984. It was AMAZING!!! It's such a great venue to see a concert, but that much better when it's RUSH!!! I saw Iron Maiden there too, believe it or not. I have been reading the reviews and this show sounds incredible. My first show on this tour is in less than two weeks on 8/14 at the PNC Arts Center in New Jersey (I live in NJ). Then I will be at both RCMH shows. I have the second orchestra section for the 18th and I will be getting seats in the first 3 rows for the show on the 19th, which I believe is the last gig on the North American leg of the tour. I hope they do something special for the RCMH shows. I would die if they did The Camera Eye. I heard they will never play that live again. I am very psyched that they're doing Between the Wheels. Grace Under Pressure may very well be my favorite Rush album. I wish they would do Afterimage too, but beggars can't be choosers.
I had the privelige of meeting Geddy at a meet and greet in Edison NJ at the CD World in a local mall. He was signing his solo album, My Favorite Headache. He signed 3 CDs for me and I shook his hand. He was very cool. As a bass player it was one of the greatest moments of my life to actually meet and exchange a few words with the greatest bass player of all time!!! I AM SO PSYCHED FOR THESE SHOWS!!! Going to see a Rush concert is truly an event. I feel like a giddy child on Christmas morning when I walk into the venue and know that in a few hours I will be seeing THE GREATEST ROCK BAND ON EARTH!!! ONLY RUSH FANS CAN ASSOCIATE WITH THIS STUFF. My wife doesn't get it. Nor do most of my friends. They don't know what they're missing.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. Thanks for a great website devoted to the greatest rock band of all time. Rush's music definitely makes life much more enjoyable!!!
Best Regards, - Chris - PS: I hope you find great airfare and make it to one of the RCMH shows. I think they are going to enjoy being back at RCMH as much as the fans!!! And I can't wait to hear Alex's rants...he is HILARIOUS!!! I don't know where he comes up with his material!!! He's INSANE!!!
I have very much enjoyed your Echoes of Old Applause web site. Thanks for posting all of the great pictures! I have a request that I am hoping you will be able to assist me with.
The pictures on your site from Paul Lasiter are excellent! I was curious if you or Mr. Lasiter would be able to email me a high resolution copy of two of the Neil Peart pictures (PL11 and PL05). The files displayed on your web site are sized a little too small for printing (they print out a little grainy on an 8x10 piece of photo paper). If you could accommodate my request, or forward it to Mr. Lasiter to contact me directly, I would greatly appreciate it!
I’m hoping that you are able to help out a fellow Rush fan.
Either way, great work with the web site! Thanks, Jeff W.
Here is a picture of my friend (Shawn) and I, we were lucky enough to get the picture
of a lifetime-minus Neil. We got Meet and Greet passes the day of the show in Atlanta.
Luckiest day of our lives. Go ahead and post it on your site if you want, lease let
me know if you do. Thanks, - Kevin. (photo posted...) Thank's man my friend is gonna crap his pant's like he did when he shook Geddy's hand.
jman,
was looking for peart items for my hubby's b-day and
found your site. well done. just wanted to let you
know you;ve put a great site togeher. we just saw
them a couple weeks ago. as always, they were
amazing. i am in awe of neil everytime i see them
live. the whole band is great, but neil's my man!! - cyndisfan
Hi Jordan, I catch 9 photos from Kansas, 9 from Hollywood Bowl and 11 from San Diego. No trouble hope.
Thanks, are great pics. Also I take access to exclusive photos of echoes… in my site...Red Sector B: Index: www.rush.inf.br
About your experience in Rush R30 shows, I like to make a purpose.
Here the Rush fans have a great curiosity about Rush shows, because this,
I question you if is possible you make a chronicle of 4 shows what you witness.
I like publish in my Rush site in English and Portuguese (I make the translation).
If I you publish in your site, it’s great. Sorry for my poor English. Best I can in future.
Marcos B., Porto Alegre, Brazil
Thanks for the website. The pictures are awesome. Saw RUSH on Saturday in Vegas. They were great. I've pretty much looked at all the RUSH websites and found yours the best.
Thanks again - Carlos
Hi, This is Kristin, the front row blonde at the Hollywood Bowl show. I enjoyed viewing your photos of that most memorable night! You had mentioned to my husband that you may have a photo of me and Alex...any such luck?! I was hoping that this was true because I would love to have proof that I was ever that close to RUSH.
Please let me know. Thank you, and we'll see you in Irvine-3rd row! - Kristin
Hello!!
My name is Thiago and I´m the admin of the brazilian website Test Fo Echo (www.t4e.com.br) - biggest latin america rush website. We´re trying to use some pictures on our gallery and we wonder if we could use some of your GREAT pictures (http://www.echoesofoldapplause.com/vapor04/stlkc.htm)! Of course we wold credit it to you and your site, as we did with the actual photos we have online..
Please, let me know if I can use the photos you have on echoes.
Salutes from Brasil! - Thiago P.
Well the show went great! Got to meet Alex and Geddy (Peart didn't show
for meet & greet). And since no cameras where allowed at Irvine, I wasn't
allowed to bring in my new digital. However, at the meet & greet the band
gives everyone a disposable camera to take two pictures with the band. So
I did get that. :) Awesome! And later during the show (20 rows center) I
used the same camera to (secretly) snap more pics. So lets see what
develops. During the show, Jack Black came out dressed as a pirate to put
more coins in the dryers (with his pants down low and exposing his butt
crack). He then stripped down to his shorts and danced on top of the
dryers. Geddy, Alex, and Neil were laughing extremely hard. Too funny!
Caught a last minute pic of this too. Along with the dryers, Geddy now
also has a vending machine next to the dryers.
I'll write back once the images are developed. Cya! - Adrian
Hi Jay ,
Just a quick notefrom a fellow rushyian, cool site and awesome photos .
Just what I need to excite me 4 of us are going to see the boys in Manchester uk in the biggest arena in europe.
Its 12 long long years since they last toured here so I guess the crowd wiil be on top form .
Just out of interest I've followed rush since 1975 (when we had our lunch break at school the music teacher would let us play vinyl and one kid brought in a rush single and i was blown away) and I've seen them 10 times now I think and just like a fine bordeaux they just get better with age.
I ve read reviews from stateside and out of about 60-70 only 1 was derogatory he complained about setlists etc.....
One thing is for sure that after 12 years uk fans will be more than happy.
Thanks again for letting me share the photos
Shalom - Chris R. (U.K.)
Hey man, this is German, the guy from Mexico we met at the end of the Phoenix show when Greg, I guess that was his name was filming your jacket. (blue Feedback t shirt, remember?)
I am hoping you got a really grat time in Vegas since I couldnt make it...
And of course I am waaaiiitng for those photos from the show
You have a very very cool site. I have recommended it to a bunch of friends that are into Rush and Rock Music in general.
take care - saludos!
Hello,
It was a real pleasure to meet you at the UMB Bank Pavilion Saturday night.
I was the one that walked up to you and asked if you the webmaster of Echos of Old Applause.
I hope you remember me. I am sure you have allot of people ask you that question, but I hope
you remember me. I thought it was one of the highlights of our RUSH experience. We have seen
them three times on this tour. (Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Louis). Thank you very much for
the beautiful website and keep up the great work. I was wondering what the highlight of
this tour has been for you? Anyway, thanks for everything!!!!!!
One Rush fan to another.........................James R. S.
Hi Jordan: Did you ever nail the light show with these photos! My fav is HBowl05 w/ the lasers & Alex - class photo.
I've never seen lasers come out so well. What camera & film are you using this time around? Nice work.
Cheers, - Chris W. (think blond hair & soccer jerseys from the past two tours)
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS photos. Some of the best shots
I've ever seen. Thanks so much. Wow - Prefers Anon.
Some freakin' amazing shots as usual, J-Man. Will have a lot of catching up
to do on the site in the coming days. Prefers Anon
