(please scroll down) BACK TO DARKROOM BACK TO SNA PAGES
I was driving home from one one day in September, 2006, and realized I had not done very many
updates to echoesofoldapplause.com in quite some time. And I was getting some emails from loyal
readers/visitors of this site as to "why haven't I done any updates." And I said to myself, well,
I haven't really had anything to update, really.
I have other websites to maintain, and since Rush was long off the R30 Tour and there was no
new material or information going around, I was really concentrating on my surfing website.
I've been surfing for almost 30 years - virtually as long as I have been a Rush fan, too, and wanted
to dedicate my time to CLIFFSRIDER.COM, which is a regularly
updated project that I've had going for the last six years or so.
So on this drive I was fighting with how to come up with new material, or something new, different
or exciting to give to people here at THIS website. I have a background in journalism and photography,
and was raking my brain for a new "concept," much like a band might come up with for a new album.
Kinda, I guess.
Well, if you think about something hard enough, sometimes you find a solution. What happened in the
train of thought was that I have all these photos - including from other bands - and these are scattered
all over the place. And I thought that it takes hours to find all of them here, and that maybe I should make
a central place where people can find a LOT of the photos, and links to the slideshows of photos,
all in one place like a photo convenience store or something. Click and go. And
of course this place had to have a name, and that was the easy part. The Darkroom. Definitely.
Please - as I always, always stress - look at the
material in the DARKROOM with respect, no commercial use of ANYTHING here, please don't hack
the photos and put them on YOUR site or sell them on E-Bay or some such non-sense. It's probably cool to save some
to your computer to view later, just don't be stupid. 'Cause we'll find out if you are!
And oh, if you refresh this page on your browser, the image
at the top will "rotate" to a different image with each refresh. I think there's like 15 different ones. Try it!
